This thesis presents a collaborative system made up of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for monitoring and receiving agricultural data, it is a demanding task that requires long periods of observation and large numbers of Sensors. The advanced development of an automatic controlled aircraft (UAV) and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) can be used in monitoring various parameters in agriculture. The use of aircrafts and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is becoming increasingly common in carrying out this task mainly because of its effectiveness and speed. Due to uneven natural distribution of rain water it is very difficult for farmers to monitor and control the distribution of water to agriculture field in the whole farm or as per the requirement of the crop.
In this context, with the evolution of miniaturized sensor devices coupled with Wireless Networks and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (WSN), it is possible remotely monitor parameters such as moisture, temperature and humidity. In this thesis, it is proposed to design, develop and implement a new way for collecting distributed data in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) which can overcome the drawbacks existed in modern Wireless Sensor Network systems.
